Learn More About Dr. Miller
Why Did You Decide to Become an Orthodontist?

“After deciding that I didn’t want to make a career in the Navy, I had to decide what I wanted to do. I considered a number of different fields and talked to a lot of people, but none of them seemed particularly excited about what they did. My dad was an orthodontist, and I realized that he LOVED what he did. As I kept exploring my options, it began to look more and more appealing to me. The rest, as they say, is history!”
Where Did You Study Dentistry/Orthodontics?

After attending Rice University on an ROTC scholarship, Dr. Bart graduated and was commissioned in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer. Accepted into the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program, he served on the guided-missile cruiser, USS Truxtun, stationed in Washington state.
Following his service, Dr. Bart went to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating with honors, and then completed his orthodontic residency at the Baylor College of Dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Bart says he has been blessed with three wonderful kids, two fantastic daughters-in-law, and soon-to-be three grandkids! So, if he isn’t in the office, you’ll typically find him hanging out with family, often cooking up something delicious for everyone. Fun fact: Dr. Bart is a Golden Shellback, which means he sailed across the Equator and International Date Line during the same voyage!
